Trucks are no longer trucks, they are status symbols.

And I bet the person who buys it pays nearly $10,000 less for it.

Truck prices are just silly. But they tend to hold value well. My dad paid about $31k for his Tundra in 2008. We sold it for $28k with 80k miles a little over a year ago.

That's not terrible. My dads Eco diesel with 4x4 was about that same price. You want outrageous prices. Check out a new ford fx4

That’s not bad, my truck was about the same, except I got a GMC with the max tow and 3.73 gears. The ride is worse due to the stiffer suspension, but it’s also much more snappy in the powahhhh department.
There’s a reason the new GM trucks outsell the other options.

I’m going to go pat my ‘06 Sierra crew cab on the dash board, and tell him he’s a good boy. I paid less than $22k out the door, brand new for it. I just can’t stomach the prices of new trucks.

Our 2014 GMC 2500HD has a Msrp of $56,745 and an invoice of $53,724, we walked out the door at $52,500 in October of 2013.. Lots of wiggle room on them.
